Technical information
Traditional vinyl pressing makes copies from a metal stamper. We use a lathe to cut the groove directly into each record blank, in real time.
The times below are approximate, per side. Volume and frequency content affect capacity. Ask us about a test cut for longer recordings.
7″ vinyl
33⅓ RPM: 5 minutes per side · 45 RPM: 4 minutes per side
10″ vinyl
33⅓ RPM: 12 minutes per side · 45 RPM: 9 minutes per side
12″ vinyl
33⅓ RPM: 20 minutes per side · 45 RPM: 12 minutes per side
Audio and artwork
We support stereo WAV, AIFF and MP3. Supply mastered audio. Contact us about audio and artwork before sending files.
Once we've agreed on the details, we'll confirm how to send your mastered audio and label artwork.
What comes with a record?
Standard unprinted covers are included. Hemp Records covers made from tree-free hemp paper and recycled stitching are available as an extra. Custom-printed sleeves will be offered separately.
Black, transparent, red and white are our standard options. Looking for another colour or a special edition? Tell us what you have in mind when requesting your quotation.
